We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website and through the purchase and use of WPXFacets subscriptions.
2. What Data We Collect and Why
2.1 Website visitors
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with this website. This collects anonymized usage data (pages visited, session duration, approximate location, device type). The legal basis is your consent, which you can manage via our cookie settings.
Google Analytics data is processed by Google LLC and may be transferred to servers in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses.
2.2 Customers and subscribers
When you purchase a WPXFacets subscription, we collect:
- Name and email address
- Billing address
- Payment information — processed directly by Stripe, Inc. We never store your full card details on our servers. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to payment processing: stripe.com/privacy
- Subscription status and history
The legal basis is performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
2.3 Plugin users (API access)
When your WPXFacets subscription is active, we provision a dedicated Elasticsearch instance on your behalf. We store:
- Your assigned API key
- Server provisioning metadata (instance ID, region, status)
The WPXFacets plugin installed on your WordPress site connects directly to your dedicated Elasticsearch instance. The plugin does not send telemetry, usage statistics, or any data about your store or your customers to our servers.
3. Data Storage and Transfers
Subscription and account data is stored on servers managed by Hetzner Online GmbH, located in Germany (EU) by default. Customers who require US-based infrastructure may have their Elasticsearch instance provisioned in a Hetzner US datacenter — this will be communicated explicitly at onboarding.
Website data (WordPress, WooCommerce) is hosted on Hetzner infrastructure in Germany.
4. How Long We Keep Your Data
